   The Windswept  Press
We are no longer a press, having sold off the equipment before moving to smaller quarters as we grew older.  The old farm was a great place to bring up a family, but now the kids and grandchildren are off on their own lives.  They visit often, but it's clear the time has come for us to shed the "stuff" of life, to lighten up and move on.
In one form or another I've been involved with small shop printing as a hobby for a good part of my life, beginning as a teenager when I worked in a small print shop in an 1800's stone barn in upstate New York.  It got so cold in the winter I had to wear gloves with the finger tips chewed off.  I must have printed 50 zillion raffle tickets!

"MoreStories"
For the last 35 years we lived in Saugerties, in the beautiful Hudson Valley at the foot of the Catskill Mountains, about 5 miles from Woodstock, NY.  We've since moved to a lovely community by the ocean in South Carolina.

There are now three locations for More Stories:

       1. The Writers' Forum, where you're invited to
send in your story.  Lots of folks
have done so.  Click here for stories and
            more information.

2. The MoreStories Proboards Forum, where we
discuss writing and also history.  The combination
came about      because of the interests of our
members.   Here you'll find lots of good historical
content about the hometown of many of us, Utica,
NY.  And pointers to our online project, "On
Genesee Hill,"  a story (novel?  play?  film?)  about
the Obliston's predecessor, The Genesee Flats,
which burned to the ground in 1896.  You might
want to join the discussion and throw in an idea
     or suggestion!

3.  The NEW MoreStoriesPlace.  We're experimenting
with a blog format for MoreStories, allowing for
more color, action and visual interest.
